About Us at the
Truman Gillet House B & B

Hello,

We are Kim and Wayne Cahoon, the resident innkeepers at the Truman Gillet House Bed & Breakfast in the historic town of Granby, CT. Granby has been our residence from 1984 in the southern end of town. Then in 2007 we decided to purchase this charming house and open it up to guests as a way of sharing our beautiful country property with them. We’ve had guests from all over the world stay with us.

“Having this B & B is like having a bunch of friends that we didn’t know we had.”
~ Kim Cahoon

As bed and breakfast patrons ourselves, who have always enjoyed the opportunity to stay in lovely old homes, we wanted to be able to extend this same hospitality to others. We also feel that we are custodians of the property rather than the owners and we want to preserve as much as possible so it’s character and charm will be everlasting. We also know at some point in the future that someone else will have the responsibility to keep it up as we have.

Wayne has converted the circa 1880 old dairy barn to be used by his business Aircraft Engravers. Traditionally they specialized in making placards and signage for the aircraft industry only, but has now expanded their product line to include control panels, name tags, desk nameplates, door signs, vinyl signage, switch and receptacle engraving among other things.
